BMPC2026 is being curated as a three-day Black Muslim Atlantic gathering rooted in memory, healing, faith, scholarship, dialogue, and collective responsibility. The program will move intentionally from grounding, to remembrance, to commitment — guiding participants through a shared journey of reflection, relationship, and future-building.
Note: The agenda is still being finalized. This preliminary outline offers a general overview of the program flow, daily themes, and guiding questions. Specific session times, speakers, and final program details will be shared closer to the conference.
Conference Framework
BMPC2026 is organized around three integrated tracks aligned with the Said Institute’s pillars and the SelebeYoon healing-centered paradigm: Remembrance, Reconnection, and Reclamation. These tracks are not separate silos. They are interwoven throughout the conference. Together, they help participants explore how memory shapes identity, how relationship supports healing, and how Black Muslim communities can reclaim narrative, knowledge, care, and possibility across generations and geographies. BMPC2026 is an invitation to remember truthfully, reconnect responsibly, and reclaim futures rooted in dignity, faith, healing, and collective care. As we gather in Dakar and on Gorée Island, we do not come seeking symbolic return alone. We come to honor memory, build relationship, and deepen our shared responsibility to the past, present, and future of Black Muslim life.
